Munster Open Boat Championships 2013.

Saturday July 27th at Dunmore East.

Check In at the Ocean Hotel from 8 – 8.30am. Boats Depart at 9 am.

Session 1: Lines down at 10am. Lines up at 1pm.
Session 2: Lines down at 1.30pm. Lines up at 4.30pm.
One Session at Anchor, One Session at Drift.

Prize giving will take place at 6.30pm in the Ocean Hotel.

Entry Fee €65. First 50 entries with Fee accepted.

Closing date for entries is Friday June 21st, 2013.

150 Newton Life Jacket must be provided and worn by the angler

Boat Draw takes place Fri July 26th at 8pm in the Ocean Hotel.

The Munster Open Boat competition took place today in Dunmore East. weather conditions were very favourable for the anglers who started the day in bright sunshine at the pier. Fishing took place from 10am to 4.30pm with two sessions during the day. 17 anglers fished hard during both sessions and returned to the pier at 5pm. 12 species of fish were recorded during the day and 585 fish in total. the winners were 1st John Dennehy, Carrigaline, 2nd Martin Kennedy, Cahirsiveen, 3rd Ken Hegarty Carrigaline, 4th Anthony Austin Crosshaven, 5th Pat Wright Cahirsiveen, 6th Martin Perryman Crosshaven. the club would like to thank John O'Brien, Waterford Angling & Outdoor Centre for sponsoring the competition, and all the anglers who took part in the event.

fishing was good finally looking good for our next club comp some nice cod caught sat too.always looking for new anglers for our club boat competitions if any one is interested.
