MUNSTER - 16 WON GOLD MEDAL AT INTERPRONIONAL 2010
Hi all, congraulation to the Munster -16 team WHO DID WIN THE GOLD MEDAL OVER THE WEEKEND. After getting back from a hetic weekend and checking the scores I found an error in the way the scores were made up. I contacted Peter Flahive and asked him to check the scores, after he checked them he agreed an error had been made, and to his credit he contacted the other team managers, and he and the other team managers agreed an error had been made and changed the results. An error is easy to make with the pressure of the weekend, and I hold no one at fault for that, but putting it right is much harder.
Peter had the courage to do this and I thank him and the other managers for this. All the blame should not be put on Peter, because as a Manager I should have seen this mistake after the first competition and asked Peter to check it. So to the Munster -16 team I am sorry that I as manager, did not check fully the blank scores after the first competition, and took from you the glory of being presented with the gold medal at the presentation. I hope you can forgive me for this, and we are now in the process of arranging to get you, your gold medals.
Again many thanks to Peter and the other team managers, and I am so sorry to the Munster -16 team for taking away their glory at the presentation.
John Kinsella.

Well done to the lads fully deserved I'm sure. I dont agree that Peter is not responsible, he is in charge so he shoulders the blame, and so he should be held rsponsible for the scoring system. All scoring systems should be based on the Munster closed system then everyone would be able to add. I dont think it will be a matter of the winners returning their medals, would you if you had one???????????. As this was a clear cut error I'm sure the medals can be presented within a few weeks, why should the winning team have to wait, they have already been dissapointed once.

I DONT THINK I AM OUT OF ORDER . . . MY CHOISE OF WORDS MAY HAVE BEEN OUT OF ORDER IF YOUR SON HAD TO GIVE BACK HIS MEDAL HOW WOULD YOU FEEL . . . . THEY WERE PRESENTED WITH THEIR MEDALS NOW THEY HAVE TO RETURN THEM... THE RESULT SHOULD HAVE STOOD. . . . .PETER SHOULD HOLD HIS HANDS UP AND ADMIT HE xxxxED UP . . . . . ALL THE LADS SHOULD AGREE TO A FISH OFF . . . . . .ITS LIKE CELTIC WINNING THE LEGUE THEN FINDING OUT THAT RANGERS HAD A BETTER GOAL DIFFERENCE . . . . . . .

Re: MUNSTER - 16 WON GOLD MEDAL AT INTERPRONIONAL 2010
great news well done to the lads pity about the way it went it was a big C**k up how could it happen at a major event, would feel bad for all the young lads the thought of giving back a medal is dishartening and the moment is gone for the munster lads. why cant the the same scoring system be used for ALL competitions. john think your been very hard on yourself its not your job the scores ,its yer job to get the lads ready for the competiton and ye did that well done.
