RINNASHARK SAC MASTER ANGLER BOAT

With 6 out of the 9 anglers turning up on the day and the weather was not great we made our way out to the hard ground off the hook with some nice cod and small ling but only one drift done it was a bit rough out there we moved for some mixed ground closer to home were a few more cod ,grey gurnard,dab,plaice,pollock .fishing was not as fast as we liked but conditions were hard with drifts at up to 2 knots and a dirty swell.thanks to angus who put us on the fish in the hard conditions. All had a few fish and hope had a good evening. The next competition is 25th june and the munster open boat is sun week the 29th may.
RESULTS:

Thats good fishing Barry, pity about the no shows, hope all goes well for the Munster Open Boat on Sunday next, it will be a change to have a major boat comp in Dunmore.

tomorrow fri 24th boat competiton cancled due to bad weather.

this was ment to be the 3rd but had to cancel the 2nd but will get a date for that over the next few weeks.the weather was looking good for a change so we headed out to the rough ground.6 anglers turned up and the weather was good but not as good as we thought.mackerel were very slow and angus gave us a few mins to get a few fresh ones before we started.fishing was good from the start with 9 species and 128 fish between 6 anglers. it was made up of mostly cod but also pollock ballan wrasse,cookoo wrasse,poor cod,coalie,ling,lsd,pouting.
i would like to thank angus esp since it was after 1030pm when we got back to the pier and he was on the boat with another competeiton since 7 am a long day not many skippers would do that.



RESULTS:

a very disapointing turn out to night for the 3rd leg of the rinnashark master angler boat competition 2011.weather was giving bad but for a change it was a lovely evening with only 4 anglers and 9 species (cod,poor cod,ballan wrasse.cukoo wrasse,dog,pollock,grey gurnard red gurnard,ling). and a total of 42 fish.the tide was running very hard witch made things a bit hard but still a good evening.

dates for this years competitions will be going up in next few days as well as some of the open boat competitions.
