Re: Saleens Today Friday
i was out at the beach besides annestown this morning
i had lug, rag, blennies and macky, goin off my head trying to get my first bass
of the year, all i got was loads of edible crab things where huge.
i tried everything
no matter how high i put the bait they still managed to grab it
I'm goin to give up eating fish and take up eating crab

Re: Saleens Today Friday
ha ha ha smart arse dogfish ha ha.but it was very poor it is a place where not so long ago you would need double figures to win a competition now seven rods take one fish?????do the poachers nets take flounder or is it anglers are taken the fish them selfs??
bob you seem to be putting in the time, this time of year with crab moults on i woul say stick with the crab plain leads fished close in.

Re: Saleens Today Friday
Well I know of only one angler who used to fish Saleens on a weekly basis and I was told he always took home the flounder he caught no matter how many, he is probably still doing the same for all I know, he must of never heard of conservation. He was not a club memeber. I would hope that there is not anyone who are club memebers taking anything more than they need from anyplace, never mind Saleens, wheter it be Flounder or Bass. We dont need to be reducing the depleted stocks even further.
