The club are holding a big fish, Smoothhound and Huss Competition on Sat night next July 27th on Tramore Beach. Fishing from 6pm - 11pm with entries taken at the White Pole. Anglers can fish two rods and the entry fee is €10. For non IFSA members day cards will be issued on the night. Juveniles can fish with an adult for a juvenile prize. On the 28th July 2019 Rinnashark SAC held there summer big fish competition. Starting out quite blustery the winds eased as the evening progressed in a lovely summers eve. 22 Anglers took to the beach in an aim to try sneak out a big Smoothhound or a big Bull Huss.
As the sun dipped behind the town the fish turned on with a number of Smooth hounds, bull huss , cod, bass ,flounder and turbot showing up to keep anglers busy.
the results are:

1st Barry Murphy 94 cm Hound
2nd Michael Roche 91 cm hound
3rd Keith Hurley/ Conor Purcell 81 cm hounds

1st Will Dunphy/ Leon Walsh

A great evening was had by all and the committee would like to thank everyone who showed up.
