The club kicked off its juvenile season on a bitterly cold day in Bilberry. With a sharp wind blowing down the river the brave young anglers who complained less than some of the parents were eager to get started. Fishing was slow to begin which did not help matters but once the first fish reached the measure some of the cold hands were forgotton. Catches picked up as the day went on and at the end of the session the catch totalled 48 fish amongst the 14 juveniles. Winners on the day were in the assisted: 1st Adam O'Neill, 2nd Bradley Kirwan, 3rd David White. In the assisted section 1st Luke Roche, 2nd Curtis Connolly, 3rd Niall Cunningham. Its good to see a few more new faces on the scene again this year as more young anglers are always needed for the future of the club. The next competition takes place on Sun April 22nd at Cheekpoint Strand at 1.30pm. Meanwhile the 1st leg of the Munster Juvenile qualifioers will take place on Sun April 1st on Cheekpoint Strand.

The second competition of the year took place in Passage East today and thankfully the day remained fine through out. Fishing was slower than expected but with a turn out of 15 young eager anglers there was a good few fish landed. The winners on the day were Luke Roche, Curtis Connolly, Adam O'Neill, Niamh Flynn, Gemma Kirwan, Bradley Kirwan, Peter Queally. It was good to see some more new faces today who turned out to take part in the fishing. The next Competition takes place on Sun May 20th at Cheekpoint Wall at 3pm. All are welcome.

Results from Cheekpoint. Fishing was very slow all afternoon with very little being caught, thankfully the weather was good and everyone enjoyed a pleasant evening. The winners were, Assisted 1st Adam O'Neill, 2nd Bradley Kirwan, 3rd Conor Flynn. Unassisted, 1st Curtis Connolly, 2nd Eoghan Flynn, 3rd Niall Cunningham.

Results from Passage East Sun Aug 26th. Fishing was slow on the day for the juvenile anglers but the weather was reasonable for a change, The winners on the day were Shane Barry, Luke Roche, Niall Cunningham, Eoghan Flynn, Adam O'Neill, Conor Flynn, and Tighearnan King. Next comp is Sun next Sept 2nd in Passage East at 12 noon.

All the young anglers who turned out today in Passage East were treated to a lovely sunny day and good fishing. Fishing began at 12 noon and fish catches were steady throughout the session. Winners on the day were Eoghan Flynn, Luke Roche, and Shane Barry, and the assisted winners were Bradley Kirwan, Adam O'Neill, Daniel Reynolds. Next competition takes place on Sun OSept 23rd at Cheekpoint Strand at 4.30pm.

A great turn out of young anglers attended the last competition of the season at Bilberry today. Winners on the day were, Assisted, Daniel Reynold, Adam O'Neill, and Tighiernan King. The Assisted Master Angler for 2012 is Adam O'Neill. In the unassisted the winners were Curtis Connolly, Niall Cunningham, and Luke Roche. The Unassisted MAster Angler for 2012 is Luke Roche. Congratulations to all the winners.

The 2012 Juvenile Christmas competition has been moved back one day to Sat Nov 24th. Fishing will still be in Passage East at 1pm. The Mossy Roche Open shore takes place on Sun Nov 25th.
