3rd and 4th boat competitions 2009 17-10-09

left the dock at 8 am this morning plan was an hour for fresh mackerel and then start comp 1 at 9am.mackerel were scarce and didnt hit any till 3rd stop and alittle late we started the first competition witch was at drift fishing was good with plenty of fish (135 fish to 8 anglers in 3 hours) 9 species in all (lsd,red gurnard,cod,poor cod ,pout,pollock,ballan cookoo wrasse,ling,).

we started the 2nd competition at 1pm after a bit of lunch.this session was at anchor. fishing was a bit slower but still a lot of fish even tho a lot of under size fish (poorcod,goldshinny wrasse,sea scorpen) even tho there was a lot of under size plenty made it in 106 fish in of 9 species (lsd,cookoo wrasse ballan wrasse,pollock,poor cod,cod,pout,whiten,ling)
