headed out last tue 15th may out of vilamoura pier in the south of portugal it was lovely sunny flat calm day.had to book this boat because the boat i had booked for the day before fell through.was lovely to be out on such a lovely day in a new place,but the skipper was a joke.after arriving at our mark around 3 miles south of the pier the skipper and his deck hand made sure everyone had gear left a big load of bait on the bait board for everyone to use( in the 30 deg sun) and then went into there own cornor with there on rods and bait and fished for the day themselfs. didnt even help 4 lads who never fished before.we were all getting plennty of bites but could not hook a fish while the skipper and deck hand were getting loads of black bream i could see they were using a lot smaller hooks then all the customers,lucky i had brought some gear and scaled down and started getting a few fish .had some tiny grouper a small bream of some kind and a few black bream also had a scad and a mackerel.enjoyable to be out but wont be going on that boat again.even tho the fish were all smallish they would not move.
